The Founders Edition Membership represents the earliest production release of the Cinelux SIXTEEN platform — designed for cinematographers who still believe the image should be created in-camera. The love of film transcends convenience, but now we can move alongside digital speed.
The Sixteen is a modern motion picture tool built around the emotional depth, discipline, and tactile workflow of analog filmmaking. Now with the power of modern construction and technology, supported by new ideas backing it.
While the SIXTEEN is not quite ready for on set testing, we are moving full speed ahead with production plans. We are seeking 10 collaborators who believe in the vision to help us get all the way there. With the ideas and funding of the members of this limited edition club, we are projecting delivery in late 2027. As we get there, we will collaborate with our Founders Edition members to produce something amazing, with end users in mind. Before now, the idea of a new film camera was mostly thought to be impossible. But as you know, with a vision and the right people to help, any bold, creative idea can be produced.
